Summer Cocktails: Pepparotti

With patio season just around the corner, LMPR recently got together to share delicious summer cocktails from the classic to the eclectic. Every week throughout June we featured one of our team’s recipes.

 

This week’s cocktail is for those that have a little less of sweet tooth. A savoury mixture of tomatillos, blended bell pepper, and a dash of hot sauce pairs well with an evening of Tosca at full volume on the outdoor patio speakers.

 

Pepparotti

 

Core tomatillos and bell pepper and drop them into a blender with ice. In a cocktail shaker add in the blended mixture, gin, tomato juice, a dash of hot sauce, a squeeze of lime and shake on ice. Strain, pour, and enjoy.

 

  • 2 ounces gin
  • Β½ bell pepper
  • 3 tomatillos
  • A dash or hot sauce
  • 1 ounce tomato juice
  • Ice cubes
